Hello. First timer (E.E. Student). I just ordered my aluminum kit and started printing my parts AR4-MK3. I have not started on the driver enclosure because I have 2 quick questions first. I am newer to this space but have completed some other projects (CNC, 3d Printers, Arduino) leaving me with some left over components.

I would like to make the following changes if possible (already have the following items and on limited budget). They are high torque with comparable backlash. They do not have encoders. If anyone is willing to weigh in with more experience, it would be appreciated. The changes would be to J2 and J3 and the motor drivers.

I would want to change from: J2 motor: 23HS22-2804D-YGS50-AR4

To:

Motor:

Gearbox:

Driver:

Secondly, I would want to change from: J3 motor: 17HS15-1684D-EG50-AR4

Motor:

Driver:

TB6600 - https://www.amazon.com/TB6600-Stepper-Driver-Mini-Size-Micro-Stepping/dp/B07HP1GKLB/ref=sr_1_17?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.vWIm8hmuZ7J5EX3WlZ28_KGFk9NZEIuo8-Ru6D2CgGCDYDVoSbk5aatmbIRHjqbMndLLGpjORrEGQ5tu6minJ8WU3r7727ppmBEoVUUe9NlYHIgmk52PHu_ey9BZa5aB85oD7vp1R5j9kqCmGF-EBN5VwNizzkMnF5HPbv9i0tHjt6Ixgycrww_INhElIxWzWwTKUKuVoivsumJiqTh-i17tjQSPEyvNU9dISJA2sGfvcYOOrn5cebduV8s9nlH272iJkZezW8A4_8D8dU4fi_R31elDvTdVdFPwIsKWG0Q.lkjF1KVtRsGRuEH_UE8kJ2FXb7uFxQtlMAUx_FraGX0&dib_tag=se&hvadid=580555029270&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9017903&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=14544647437079996527&hvtargid=kwd-35318899877&hydadcr=1655_13458378&keywords=tb6600&qid=1715789635&sr=8-17

I was thinking that if this would work, an encoder would be necessary and was considering:

Model: HKT3005-C03G-1000B-5E from stepperonline.

I think the 2 channel is what I would need but unsure:

1000PPR Optical Rotary Encoder AB 2-Channel ID 5mm w/ Shielded Cable HKT30

I don't need to make this decision immediately but wanted to start budgeting out my build while I wait on the printer. I have watched many of the videos and noticed the previous versions had a separate encoder leading to these questions.

Thank you in advance for any insights you may be able to provide or help getting me straightened out.
