Hello, I have just received my aluminium parts. They look awesome, and I’d like them to stay that way. I live near the ocean and everything tarnishes. Just wondering if anyone had some good ideas to avoid the corrosion (Anodise, paint etc)?
Hello, On the robots I have built I have just polished the pieces using aluminum polish and have had good luck with them not tarnishing but I dont live near the coast. I have had several people anodize the parts, I would just caution that you may have to retap all the threaded holes and you may need to clean up or avoid anodizing the bearing journals. Here is a forum post on Mitch Lichtenberg's
