Il explain a little then get to my question
the sheets of steel I work with are 4ftx8ft in size once I have fabricated my plasma cutter onto the end if I wanted to say cut 100mm strip across the 4ft length of the steel can I use the sliding table that the arm would be mounted on to make it possible for the arm to reach from one end of the steel to the other?
Seems very close, and thats if the robot is in the middle & ontop of the 4t section... You could always add the 7th axis track and then its a non-issue.
@johann-voigtlander yeah so if i had the 7th axis track i could have that mounted behind my straight edge that the sheet steel would sit up against (track would be 4ft long and woul the robots arm be able to cut a straight line from the starting edge of the steel to the ending edge of the steel. as the 7th axis track moves would the robots arm know that the base is moving on the track as to keep it cutting in a straight line?
yes, should be easy man
Buongiorno 😁ma la tua idea di usare un braccio robotico 6 assi come taglio al plasma lo trovo un attimo esagerato. Sarebbe più facile costruire una macchina per taglio al plasma con 3 assi, facilissima da gestire
@bortiglioantonino I get what your saying but this way will be more fun and look cool 🙂
