Hi I am just wiring up my AR3 robot (it's been a long time making it...) and I'm wondering if my wires are long enough, what movement limits should the joints be able to reach?
I have followed the instructions so far pretty much to the letter but I did notice upon wiring up the final j6 joint that the specified lengths of coax cable covering, say 18", when slipped over the wires, became more like 10". I was not sure whether this was accounted for in the instructions so I ended up in a couple of cases cutting off more than the specified coaxial cable covering length to allow for some contraction so I ended up with lengths close to the specified ones.
I figure as long as it can rotate properly to all the positions it's supposed to my wire lengths will be fine, hence my question - how far are the joints supposed to rotate?
Thanks for any help. I sure have learnt a lot about machining making this.
Thank you Chris just to confirm so Joint 1 for example requires (170+170) 340 degrees of total movement, and J2 would require 132 degrees, from the limit switches?
