Hi, I'm considering mounting the AR2, and I've seen that 5 DM542T drivers are used, from 1.0 to 4.2 A and a DM320T driver. Seeing the consumption of the engines, could not you use 5 DM320T drivers and a DM542T driver?
Hi, Has anyone considered using TRINAMIC drivers equipped with Stallguard. It seems like this feature can replace endstops. I'm wondering if using stallguard with 50:1 reduction could damage the gearbox though ...
Yes I believe you could. when I initially started designing this robot I had started with some larger motors and the DM series drivers were just coming out. Additionally Ive had better luck with the 542 in other areas for example when testing with a 3.3v processor and using logic level shifters the 542 was more reliable and worked better so I hadn't given much thought to swapping them out.
