Hello and thank you for all of your support. Your work is awesome. I was wondering if I could make the J1 base plate thicker for more rigidity. I was wondering if the modification will affect the assembly procedure. I apologize if this question has been answered before.
I'd have to take a closer look at the clearances but I think you could potentially run into issues with the position of the J1 motor and the belt if you made the entire plate thicker. But you could probably add a fair amount of rigidity just adding a thicker rib or rim around the edge of the plate.
