Since the J2 arm seems to be difficult to print on regular size 3D printers, is the J2 aluminum arm sold by itself. I am printing most of the parts myself, but that arm looks like it can sure use a metal version.
You may want to check CNC Kitchen on youtube. He did some strength test comparing PLA, PETG and ASA. From my recollection PLA turned out to be the most stiff but more britle. I'm in the process of printing arm in PLA. My printer has a 256x256x256 plate so I had to split the arm and other larger parts in two. For the J2 Arm I created a pocket and then screwed them back together with flat head screws and coutersunk nuts. I'm still a ways before I can test the rigidity of the arm.
Of course, I realized that Chris had already provided a two part version of the arm that you can epoxy toghether only after I was done.
I used the dovetail feature in Prusa slicer to divide it into 2 parts and printed it in carbon fiber PC which worked pretty well. The CF PC print ends up being almost as stiff as the aluminum equivalent. You could also use something like carbon fiber PETG (much easier to print) and get a similar result.
