Just started assembling my arm and when I got to the step to remove the backplate from the 23HS22- 2804D-YGS50-AR4 Gearbox, it seems that stepperonline have used a stong loctite. Were they supposed to? I was able to break 3/4 of them free and will have to come up with a plan B on the last one.
I will reach out to Stepperonline and find out what type of loctite they are using and request they not loctite these in the future. Can you tell me how long ago you purchased your motors - im just curious if your is from a recent production run or a previous run.
Just wanted to report that I came across the same issue.
Bent an allen key trying to remove them, but managed to get 3. The last one rounded off, and had to hammer in a T20 Torx bit, and used an impact gun to remove it.
I purchased mine just a few weeks ago, and the screws really were quite tight. I got them all off by carefully using an impact driver.
