In trying to secure the J5 motor to its motor mount I’ve had an issue with the screws. The M3 x 14 socket head cap screws listed on the assembly instructions only protruded about 2mm from beneath the motor mount. As a result I tried to tighten a couple of them they stripped out the top threads of the tapped holes, since all the force was only on the top two threads or so. I‘ve ordered some sightly longer screws from McMaster-Carr, so hopefully that’ll do the trick.

Is that an issue with the depth of the machined holes in the motor mount in my particular kit, or is it just that the screws should be slightly longer?

I apologize for this, this was a mistake on my part and you are correct it should be a slightly longer screw. I have updated the manual to be 18mm screws and I am updating my kit inventory.
