After following the drilling instructions, I noticed my harness enclosure did not match the PDF build photos. Additionally, the nut for the PG16 cable gland will not even fit inside the 1591 BSBK project enclosure (the internal thread for the PG16 is 7/8" and the 1591 Project box is only 1.1" -- not leaving room for the nut on the interior of the box. The RJ45 connector also leaves minimal room for wiring as it is very close to the touching the bottom of the inside of the 1591 project box.
Is it possible the PDF instructions have a mistake, and that a 1591 SSBK (depth of 1.8") or some other unit should be used instead of the BSBK? See attached photos for comparison of my BSBK+PG16 to the PDF build photos.
Hi there! I've been working on my AR2 robot build and ran into a potential issue when constructing the wiring harness.
Specifically, the bill of materials calls for usage of a "Hammond 1591 BSBK Project Box". This is the unit I purchased: https://www.amazon.com/Hammond-1591BSBK-ABS-Project-Black/dp/B0002BBQUA (Description, photo, and price match Wiring Harness PDF)
Dimensions of this unit are 4.4" x 2.4" x 1.1"
