Hi all,
Some fascinating designs here and inspiring to see some very elegant design solutions.
Below is my diy camera rig for a friend, his work photograph large historic documents, their photo stitching software required one pivoting camera as it does not seem to understand a fixed camera array.
After months of design, learning fusion 360 and now about Gcode senders, this is my current progress.
My question:
When designing something, how do you avoid over complication and multiple prototypes with trial and error ? My designs get simpler over time, however it's a constant battle to get efficient designs with low part counts and build-ability.
Thanks again, your robot arms look really solid and efficient.
The aluminium extrusion design was V1, rather overbuilt concept

And the very first design.
Again, huge part counts adding to weight, cost and build time.

Very nice !
