Hello! Does anyone have advice on fitting the 3mm linear rods into the J5 housing? I have no issues sliding them through the carrier bushings (it is a tight fit), but I simply have been unable to get the rods to pass through the holes in the housing itself. I've been using a press to fit my other bearings, but when I try to press the rod it is bending instead of going in. I have also tried tricks like heating the housing, chilling the rod, etc. I have a 3mm bit and am considering trying to expand the holes--before doing something destructive like this, are there other options I should be considering? A quick perusal of the forum suggests this may be error or inexperience on my part.

There are set screws to hold those 3mm rods. so drilling the hole out to fit them should be fine:

@johann-voigtlander Thank you! I did drill them out carefully on the insertion side and was able to use my press to fit them the rest of the way on the side with the set screws.

@matt_d the rods are slipping for me when using the J5 motor (i have put the set screws). Do you have this problem too?

@ya I don't have any slipping, sorry--I only drilled out the outermost set of holes (not the ones near the set screws) and then pressed it the rest of the way with an arbor press.
