Hi. I am trying to use AR4 codes and software on my custom 6 axis robot arm. I have tried the software and got good result. Motors works well. I wanted to get encoder value from stepper. But I think I souldn't have wired the cables correctly. Because I am getting "collision or motor error" on the software when I rotate motor. I am not sure how to wire encoder, which color of cables are different then showed at the manual.

The question is: How can I wire encoder cable and test it? How can I be sure I have plugged the cables correctly?

Note: Trying to wire J2 encoder for testing.

Here is some info on the encoder wire colors. also take note of the startup section in the AR4 manual in regard to changing the encoder phase by reversing the EA+ and EB+
