HI,

I was wondering if someone who built his robot could help me with the hole size for J1 turret. In the CAD files, the main 10 holes in the J1 Turret part are 6.6mm

However they are supposed to be clearance holes for M6 bolts - I was going to drill them at 6mm but I noticed the hole diameter

I checked and the corresponding pilot holes in J2 turret housing are indeed M5 (drill for M6 tap)

Thanks in advance for your help

The chart im looking at now shows clearance hole for an M6 screw to be 6.2mm for a close fit and 6.4 for a normal fit. Its possible solidworks sized the holes at 6.6 when I used the hole wizard. Not 100% sure but I dont think it would hurt to start at 6.2 and then go up if necessary.

@chris-annin Thanks a lot for your prompt response Chris. This is very helpful. Ifbthsts the size you are using to manufacture the kit I'm going to trust the experience of many and just go with 6.6mm. Have a great day.
