Hi,
I'm having an issue where the J2 gearbox motor housing is too far from the J2 tension ring when the motor mount is flush to the platform. The manual says 1mm, which is pretty much when the housing would hit the J2 bearing set screws. Now the distance is more like 3-4 mm.
Only thing I could think of is that the J2 motor isn't going in far enough into "J2 spacer YGS" or that the spacer's too thick. (Or I've made a bigger error in some previous phase.)
How much of the motor should there be outside of the spacer (now 13.4mm) ? How thick should the spacer be?

Use da hammer
Nothing to hammer, shaft moves quite easily into the slot and motor bottoms out in the spacer.
Hello, the printed spacer should be 10.5mm thick and 12.6mm of the gearbox housing should be outside of the spacer.
Thanks for your quick responses, guys!
Spacer seems to be 10.75mm, and after making sure the motor is fully seated in the spacer there's still 13.3mm of the housing sticking out. I will sandpaper the spacer a fraction of a mm and then we should be very close (within half a mm) to the correct values. How crucial is it that the gap between the J2 gearbox motor housing and the J2 tension ring is 1 and not say 2 or 3 mm?
@jann-h Its not critical. If its a mm wider its not an issue - its only an issue if its too close and has interference.
