Hello!

I'm having a slight issue with my J5 motor, hoping someone can help me.

When I move it in either the positive or negative direction, the slider in the software moves in the opposite direction, as shown in the video below. I've run the test encoders program and the encoder was fine, and also the motor moves in the correct direction I expect it to, (+ moves the belt carrier towards the motor, and - moves it away from the motor, towards the limit switch)

If anyone can help me resolve this, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Do you have any errors in the log showing a collision or motor error? If you run that joint in open loop mode does it still move the wrong direction?

Hi Chris!

Thanks for the help! I did get the J5 collision or motor error in the log when I did these jogs. I tried running the joint in open loop mode instead as you suggested, and now it moves in the correct direction and logs no errors either.

@albert-de-mello OK, if you are getting the collision error I believe your encoder has a wiring issue. Please double check on the wiring and then test using the encoder test program. Let me know what you find. You can also email me at info@anninrobotics.com as I typically see my email right away and respond faster.
