Hi all, I'm having trouble with connection to the teensy 4.1 board. My AR4 has been running fine since building it a few weeks ago, however I now can't seem to connect to the teensy. When trying to diagnose the issue, I've check the Teensy is healthy by unplugging from the robot and running another script on it. all seems fine. (I've also tried replacing the board with another Teensy 4.1 with no luck) I find that the board will boot up when out of the robot and i can connect to serial (but still not in the AR4 software). as soon as its plugged in it seems to disconnect from serial.
I'm assuming I may have a short somewhere but don't really have idea of how to move forward and find it. Any advice would be appreciated.
Hi Lee, Thanks for your post. I'm having the exact same issue as you (even after I replaced the Teensy 4.1). I haven't been able to find any shorts. Did you find the culprit for you AR4 issues ? Cheers! - S
I would start with checking the 3.3v and 5v terminals on the 3 pos terminal block. If either of those is shorted to ground anywhere in the wiring it can shut down the teensy board.
