There is an issue with stepper motor No. 2. While motors No. 1 through No. 6 lock completely when powered on, only motor No. 2 rotates freely by about 5 degrees after the power is turned on. I would appreciate it if you could advise me on the cause and possible solution. Thank you in advance.

Can you check the coupler between the motor and the gearbox? There is a small black plastic cap on the side of the gearbox. If you remove the cap you can access the coupler and tighten with a hex key wrench. This has been a common issue in the past. I have contacted Stepperonline and this should have been addressed so they come tightened. Please let me know how long ago you purchased your motors kit.

Thank you for your response.

We have already checked the coupler.

As for the motor, it was ordered through a supplier around December 25th.

We have attached a video showing the issue, so we would appreciate it if you could take a look.

@kara-kara Was this motor from Stepperonline? It appears one of the planetary gears is out of position.

@chris-annin

The cause of the malfunction has been identified, and we were able to resolve the issue successfully.

As you pointed out, the problem was due to a misalignment of the planetary gears.

Thank you very much for your accurate and helpful advice.

check if the screws locking the coupling are tightened. If the screws are loose, it may cause slippage.
