Hey!

I'm having a tough time trying to source the 3x7x20mm brass bushings that you recommend in the latest build.

I was wondering if you could recommend a site that has them and/or if you'd be willing to sell the bushings separately?

I've checked mcmaster, grainger, amazon and none of them carry bushings in that size.

Thanks,

I had to have those custom made. These bushings directly replace the stock trade bearing number LM3UU. The MK1 used the bearing but I switched to the bushing as many of those tiny bearings would fail and they had a little more play than I liked. You can still use the LM3UU for an off the shelf option and I have the new bushing in the hardware kit.

@chris-annin

I ended up ordering similar LM3UU bearings and 3mm dowel rods from McMaster and although they're much more expensive, the tolerances are night and day compared to the generic LM3UU bearings received from amazon. If you, or others here, are looking to increase precision in the J5 assembly I think replacing the 4 bearings and 2 rods with parts from McMaster would be a good / worthwhile first step!

Thanks again for all your work on this awesome project!
