To evaluate the accuracy of vertical movement on my AR4, I attached a crosshair laser to the end effector and aimed it at a fixed point on the table. I then moved the robot up and down along the Z-axis (Tz). I expected the laser crosshair to remain fixed on the same point, but noticed that it shifts slightly, indicating some deviation.

I'm trying to determine whether this behavior is due to my specific build or if itโ€™s a software/control limitation inherent to the AR4 system.

have anyone observed similar behavior in AR4 builds? Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Alon.

Sorry for the late reply on this. Could you try running the latest software version 6.0 and then report back? I found some issues with the incremental jogging and the encoder output that could have been causing some issues.
