I'm currently have my degree in architecture, and pursuing a Masters of Architecture. I'm planning on using the AR3 for digital fabrication of small scale concept models derived from parametric design.
I'm wanting to branch into concepts of multiaxis 3d printing and cnc machining (probably from resin board or foam).
Long term plans:
Build completion goal of - 5/1
RoboDK software control (Rhino3d and Grasshopper plugin)
E3d titan-Super Volcano 3d extruder set up
Brushless Outrunner 6374 190KV ER16 spindle.
Welcome to my build series, plan to publish updates every couple of days. You can also follow along on social media: Instagram - austen.arch will post more video stories and small clips.
Sounds very interesting. Austen are you planning to fit a small spindle to the arm for milling foam?
Hi,
I have somehow same ideas to use Grasshopper and Rhino with my AR3 if I get it ready some day. Interesting to follow how you get it work.
I just finished painting all the aluminum pieces being careful to mask off any area that may have a bearing seat. Just assembled j1 minus the motor. Still waiting on those from stepperonline. While I wait I will start making cables and mounting the Components that I have in the enclosure.
