J5 LIMIT SWITCH UPDATE - MANUAL VERSION 1.7
Hey everyone - I updated the J5 limit switch. Its no longer the roller tip switch mounted in the arm. The update has a 10T85 switch mounted inside the side cover. This should make installation easier and have improved performance. To update you just need to print the new side cover and then re-route your J5 wires to the new location. Check out the latest build manual version 1.7 for all the details.
where can I find the new files? When I download the 3d files it's the old file, and the build manual is v 1.0
Under the MK4 downloads the latest manual is 1.0 and in the 3d print files download the files are: AR4-MK4 J5 Carrier Bump Stop.STL and AR4-MK4 J5 Side Plate.STL
If you are looking under the MK3 downloads the last manual was version 1.8 and the 3D print files should be the same.
Both the MK3 final version and the MK4 lates version have the same design and files for the J5 limit switch. The major change from MK3 to MK4 was the larger base enclosure and change in wiring using the 2x12 terminal board in the enclosure. Other than that the builds are nearly the same.
Chris Annin yes, I had found it, good update as this switch has been very troublesome. Have my sensors on order and 3d prints done.
