688Z fit issue
Hey all, I'm close to finishing my very own AR4 Mk3. The 688Z bearing I received has an ID of 0.312", and the J5 screw has an OD of 0.317" (the entire shaft, not just a flared end). Does anyone know if I buy a random new 688Z on amazon is it likely that one might be large enough to fit on the screw?
I'll check a sample of the latest shipment of bearings I have here. I will also reach out to Stepperonline to see if there are any quality control issues they can implement to ensure the shaft diameter. There is no issue lightly and evenly polishing the circumference of the shaft end to fit the bearing - this is not a precision locational fit as much as general shaft support.
Stepperonline has replied: "We have adjusted the tolerance of this motor to a negative tolerance. Could you please provide the motor serial number and measurement photos?" Chris Darrigo could you provide a photo showing the measurement in mm?
