Magnetic limits and v6.3
A few questions for the group:
I have converted J1, J2, and J4 to magnetic hall effect calibration sensors and they work well on V6.1.
I want to use an xbox controller for training the robot arm and am thinking of upgrading to 6.3 if it has better xbox control. But before I do, I need to change the three sensor active states from low to high.
1) What lines in 6.3 control the home input signal?
2) Is there a need to move to 6.3 to use the xbox controller or does it work fine with 6.1?
Thanks!
Hello. 6.2 included the updates to the xbox control so updating to 6.3 would be good. The sketch didnt change much from 6.1 to 6.3 so the changes you made to 6.1 should be the same in 6.3.
Chris Annin thank you. Will do.
I have upgraded and my arm homes without issue now. Tried using the xbox controller to teach locations and it seems to make the interface lockup frequently enough that I need to unplug and plug back in the usb to restart communications. The log file shows quite a few "jog thread already in progress entries. Eventually (less than 1 min) the ar3 screen goes to about half size and that's it, communication has frozen. with a usb unplug and plug then re-establishing connection on the config screen (no restarting the program is required), I can get connection again and move the arm using the mouse or the xbox controller. Anyone else experience this sort if communication hang?
Some additional info that may be of value. once all is connected and I can move things around in joint mode using the xbox controller, if I hit either bumper on the xbox controller to dive in or out, I immediately log an "error position is out of reach" without movement. either bumper does this. This is immediately followed by a jog thread already in progress error. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
