To ensure a smooth customs process, all kits are shipped under the harmonized system (HS) code 8479.90.94: “Machines and mechanical appliances having individual functions, not specified or included elsewhere.” This classification is for the functional robotic machine, not raw aluminum, and therefore is not subject to the aluminum surcharge under chapter 76.
